The following Recommendation FAQs should help answer questions you have about application recommendations. 

My Recommender Did Not Receive the Invitation
Please confirm that you have typed the correct email address in your application form and send them another invitation. If you have already confirmed that you have the correct email address and have sent your recommender more than one invitation, the recommender's email server is likely blocking the email address that sends the invitation (help@applyweb.com). We strongly encourage official recommendations to come from a recommender's professional email address and request that the recommender unblock the email address.

How Do I Change My Recommender?
To change your recommender's name and/or email address, go to the Review Your Submitted Application / Manage Your Recommendations link in the Apply Online section of your application homepage. Next, select the Action button and choose the appropriate action. Please note that if you change your recommender to a different person, you will only be able to edit the name and email address. Your new recommender will be able to update the remaining contact information once they access the recommendation form.

When you change a recommender and edit the email address, a new invitation will be emailed to your recommender when you click Save. The recommender information you edit will update on your activity page but will not appear in the application form. This is normal system behavior, and we are aware recommenders can be changed this way. As long as the correct recommender details appear on your activity page, you have successfully changed your recommender.  

Please note that you cannot change the information of a recommender who has already started or submitted their letter of recommendation. If your recommender has already started or submitted the form, please complete an ApplyWeb help request form and request to have your recommendation reset.

How Do I Resend an Invitation to My Recommender?
Go to the Review Your Submitted Application / Manage Your Recommendations link in the Apply Online section of your application homepage. Next, select the Action button and choose the appropriate action.

How Do I Check the Status of My Recommendation?
You can check the status of your recommendations via your personal activity page under the Apply Online section of your online application homepage. Click on the Review Your Submitted Application / Manage Your Recommendations link.

How Can I Help My Recommender Who Is Having Technical Issues?
CollegeNet, our application vendor, will be able to assist your recommender. To protect confidential information and for the best efficiency, it is necessary for CollegeNet to communicate directly with your recommender. Please have your recommender visit the Recommender Help Page. If they cannot find a solution, they may submit a help request using the Recommender Help Request link. Once the recommender's issue has been resolved, and the recommendation has been submitted, we will include it in your application file.
